Admissions and Registration
The Registration Department is open 24 hours a day and is located on Hospital Drive (Emergency entrance) off Highway 90, Bay St. Louis.
OUTPATIENTS may pre-register by calling Centralized Scheduling at (228) 467-5483 Monday-Thursday from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. and Friday from 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. After requesting information regarding your physician, diagnosis and insurance, our staff will pre-certify and pre-register your visit for your convenience.
INPATIENTS must present a photo ID, physician’s order and insurance card and/or forms if required.
- HMO/PPO - If you are a member of an HMO or PPO, your plan may have special requirements, such as pre-certification or a second opinion for certain procedures. It is your responsibility to ensure the requirements of your plan have been met, or you could be financially responsible for all or part of services rendered in the hospital.
- MEDICARE – Please present a copy of your Medicare card so we may verify eligibility and process your claim. Medicare specifically excludes payment for certain items and surgery procedures. Deductibles and co-payments are the responsibility of the patient.
- MEDICAID – Please present a copy of your Medicaid card. This program also has limitations on a number of services.
- UNINSURED – If you have no insurance, a representative from the Patient Financial Services office will discuss financial arrangements with you. To discuss options for financial assistance, including possible eligibility for Medicaid or other government programs, please call (228) 467-8683.
Registration will ask the name and address of your next of kin and one other person to notify in the case of an emergency. Your signature is required on your admission record to give the hospital consent for treatment, bodily fluid testing and authorization to bill your insurance company. You will also be advised of your rights under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
