Hancock Medical Center ~ Employee Update: September 13, 2005Message to our Hancock Medical Center Family & Friends:
All staff must contact the hospital regarding work status as soon as possible. If work is unavailable, an employee may apply for disaster unemployment assistance by calling 1-888-844-3577.
Hancock Medical Center will offer an Employee Assistance Center Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 19 and 20 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Representatives from the Mississippi Hospital Association will also be available for unemployment assistance and employment placement information. Representatives from Select Administrative Services (SAS) will also be on-site Sept. 19-20. Other agencies will also be on hand for additional employee assistance.
The Emergency Department is scheduled to reopen at the end of September. Mitigation of flood damage on the first floor continues with removal of walls, flooring, equipment and furnishings. Sections are being sealed off systematically for drying to prepare for installation of new sheetrock and tile.
