Hancock Medical Center’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU) offers around-the-clock professional care with a low nurse:patient ratio.
With state-of-the art diagnostic monitoring and therapeutic equipment, this closed unit provides life-saving intervention for critically and sub-acutely ill medical and surgical patients. Certified respiratory therapists work with physicians, nurses and support personnel, implementing an individualized plan of care for each patient.
Limited visiting hours are offered for family and friends to afford these patients essential rest and privacy. A family waiting room is located adjacent to the unit.
