The new digital technology of Picture Archiving Communications System (PACS) enhances patient care by facilitating timely turnaround of diagnostic reports.PACS images are read by radiologists over a secure network and send reports to physicians within a few hours.
All patient imaging data is protected in a failsafe, offsite archive, with full redundancy, back-up power and expert management to ensure continuous service. The PACS technology puts HMC’s imaging department on a par with those in the nation’s largest medical centers. |  |
