Oral/Maxillofacial Surgeon Joins Bay St. Louis Practice

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon Richard T. Akin, DDS, MD,
recently joined his father, Richard K. Akin, DDS in his Bay
St. Louis practice.
Dr. Akin graduated at the top of his class from the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans in 1998, where he received numerous awards, including the Dean’s
Award, the Pharmacology Award, the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Award and Student Researcher of the Year Award.
He received a doctor of medicine from Louisiana State
University Medical School in 2001, and completed a residency
in oral and maxillofacial surgery at LSU Health Sciences Center.
At Hancock Medical Center, he has privileges in oral and facial cosmetic surgery. He performs all facial rejuvenative procedures including Botox®, Restylane®, facial peels, eyelid and brow surgery, facelifts, otoplasty and rhinoplasty. He also offers the Obagi system of skin care.
