Whether you need an MRI or a simple x-ray, the professional staff of Hancock Medical Center’s Diagnostic Imaging Department is ready to serve you. A full range of imaging capability includes nuclear medicine, ultrasound, mammography with stereo-tactic biopsy capability, CT and DEXA bone density scanner.
The new digital technology of Picture Archiving Communications System (PACS) enhances patient care by facilitating timely turnaround of diagnostic reports. PACS images are read by radiologists over a secure network and send reports to physicians within a few hours.
All patient imaging data is protected in a fail safe, offsite archive, with full redundancy, back-up power and expert management to ensure continuous service. The PACS technology puts HMC’s imaging department on a par with those in the nation’s largest medical centers.
